About NBSE
Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), as the name suggests, is a board of education in the Indian state of Nagaland with its headquarter in the state’s capital Kohima. It looks after the educational promotion and development for students pursuing secondary (class 9 and class 10) and higher secondary (class 11 and class 12) education as well as the overall education in the state.
NBSE, which was set up in the year 1973, became functional on October 1, 1973, and in the first HSLC examination, a total of 2008 students appeared. The examination was held in six centres. Presently, more than 20,000 students appear in the exams every year.
