NBSE Class 12 (HSSLC) result 2022: A brief analysis

In 2022, a total of 11,680 students appeared for the exam, out of which 9,516 passed, with an overall pass percentage of 80.64%. The examination was conducted in the month of March 2022. The NBSE HSSLC examination is conducted in three streams, namely Arts, Commerce, and Science. Let’s take a closer look at the results of each stream.

Arts Stream

A total of 11,680 students appeared for the exam in the Arts stream, out of which 8,209 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 80.64%. Of the government institutions, 77.64% of male students and 84.02% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 81.39%. Of the private institutions, 83.74% of male students and 92.79% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 88.70%. Among repeaters, the overall pass percentage was 51.28%.

Commerce Stream

A total of 968 students appeared for the exam in the Commerce stream, out of which 752 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 82.28%. Of the government institutions, 79.59% of male students and 95.74% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 87.50%. Of the private institutions, 83.75% of male students and 92.06% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 87.02%. Among repeaters, the overall pass percentage was 59.09%.

Science Stream

A total of 2,011 students appeared for the exam in the Science stream, out of which 1,899 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.24%. Of the government institutions, 83.47% of male students and 90.91% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 87.64%. Of the private institutions, 87.52% of male students and 95.82% of female students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 92.00%. Among repeaters, the overall pass percentage was 46.71%.

Conclusion

The NBSE also provided a category-wise breakup of the pass percentage. The government institutions had an overall pass percentage of 77.64% in the Arts stream, 87.50% in the Commerce stream, and 87.64% in the Science stream. The pass percentage in private institutions was higher than government institutions, with an overall pass percentage of 83.74% in the Arts stream, 87.02% in the Commerce stream, and 92.00% in the Science stream.
